We use a drawing program that when a parameter is set, it switches on/off various layers with symbols and parameter display.
Only one of the formats/templates we use gives us problems after I modified all of them using the same method.
The one that gives us problems does 2 things. 1) when used in a new drawing, all of the drawing related symbols move to the added layer and are now turned off. If we change the parameter to make that layer active, sometimes we get all oif the symbols showing. Adding a new symbol will also go to that layer. 2) Even after cut and pasting the sysmbol on the active layer we need, it does not show on the face of the drawing.
If we open the layer tree and select the symbol, it will highlight in the drawing space, but we cannot get it to display permanently.
We can sometimes get it to show after a lot of fiddling around.
Does anyone have any tips on using layers with a drawing program drivin from a parameter?
