Is it possible to add a parameter to all files located in a specific folder.

Steps to be taken now for part: CROSS_REDUCING_BW_ANSI.PRT

1. Open Generic part
2. Add in relation:
   • BOM_DESCRIPTION=FLS_DESCRIPTION="CROSS"+" "+fitting_code+" BUTT WELD "+size:FID_PORT0+" "+branch_size:FID_PORT2
3. Add parameter "BOM_DESCRIPTION" to family table
4. Run "VERIFY" to update for all related instances.
5. Check-In into Windchill

Reason:

We need to have the right description for all library parts and have them imported into Windchil.

Hello! I have a problem with installation of creo 2.0. I can't drag my license file in the creo installer as the field don't allow to enter any file.

As an example, everytime i open creo i have to enter the options and specify one more time that i want "make the sketching plane parallel to the screen"...

I save those options in a config.pro but it doesn't work...

Hi all, I have developed a catastrophic problem with Creo 3 this morning. Everything was fine until a couple of hours ago, now I cannot open ANY drawing. I can open parts & assemblies no problem. At first I thought it was just a problem with the job I am currently working on, I had a couple of crashes this morning & I figured that maybe some files had become corrupted somehow. I have done some investigating & discovered that this problem exists outside my current working directory. There is nothing wrong with any of these files, I can open them fine in Creo 2 & 4. I can open my current drawings in Creo 4, so that proves the files are ok. 20 years I have been working with Pro-e/Creo & have never seen this before. As mentioned, I have Creo 4 installed but I don't want to start working with it just yet. Any clues any one? I am in a fix here, don't whether to un-install Creo 3 & re-installed it.

Save icon doesn't save parts and assembly files.  I get an error message "cannot write to this file location" "invalid directory".  I have updated folder permissions and owner.

Hi all,

I have a surface model of a pump and I am going to reverse engineer it to make a feature based solid model, however I am struck at one main thing.

The pump has to be made using swept blend ffeature for which I need sections sketches, I dont know how to project the surface from where it has been sectioned on a plane at the same location where it is cut.I am using "Project" command in the skect tool while in the DTM2 plane to project the cut surface buit it just isnt projecting the entities from where the surface is cut, it is rather projecting entities somewhere behind it Please help me out there, pictures are attached for clearance.

Here is the story

I normally work on laptop computer but use a connected monitor as a display ( hp 2035 LCD monitor)

Some days ago, suddenly the monitor lost the view and never came back again.

I disconnected the cable and tried again but no change.

I restarted the computer but no change.

Then, I disconnected the monitor tried running Creo 2.0 on laptop computer.

It looked as if the program starts but no display on the screen.

I borrowed another monitor, connected and tested that way, Creo 2.0 worked.

I disconnected monitor and try to run Creo 2.0, did not work.

I found an hp 2035 monitor just to see if it works, it worked with and without hp monitor until I restarted the computer.

Now, use a Lenovo LCD monitor, Creo 2.0 runs with it but still does not run without a monitor.

There was no problem until hp monitor broken.

I used to work with or without a monitor.

How can I fix this problem?

Das Programm schließ nach Bestätigung der Fehlermeldung. Wie kann ich das Problem lösen?

Hi!

Recently we started to employ a new college, who will design wiring in Creo Schematics. We installed the software for him on Win7. The .ui and config files were copied from my computer. I used Univers OTS font for displaying every text or label because this was the only one which could write the "ű" and "ő" letters (the other one was the Univers OTS Bold, but that's obviously not an option...). It works fine for me, I could always write the specified letters, no problem. Now the college has a problem with this font because on his computer it is unable to write the specified letters. If I write these letters in a design, close it, he opens it, he will get the letters changed to different types. If he tries to write the letters he gets an underline instead "_", after this if he closes the design, and then I open is, I get a totally different font stile with the "_"-s in it. I've also tried the following: Our mechanical engineers use Arial Narrow font for text because of the same reason I specified above. I've copied the font they provided to the fonts folder in schematics, same thing happened.... On my computer it works fine, but on his it's bad. Currently I use Win10 64bit and the guy has Win7 64bit, but I used this on Win7 too, it worked fine.

Can anyone suggest something for this problem? I'm currently thinking this might be a Windows issue...

I want to use a motion skeleton in my design. I want to create mechanism like on the attached picture. I created body skeletons for all the bodies. GND, PART A, B, C. When I assign connection for body skeletons (In body definition dialog - not manually in component placement dialog) Creo doesn't recognise the mid pin. The two left PINs and Bearings are no problem but the center one. I tried to add circle to both PART A and PART B but unsuccessfull. I found in some training manual this:

After creating the motion skeleton assembly, you create a sketch. The sketch

must represent the following:

• The Ground Body – This is a non-moving component.

• Any Mechanism Bodies – Any moving part in the mechanism.

• Joint Connections, which are as follows:

– Pin joints can be defined at entity intersections or at circle centers.

– Slider joints can be defined from overlapping lines.

– Bearing joints can be defined where a line meets a non-endpoint location of another line.

– A Slot connection can be defined where a line endpoint lies on an arc or circle.

– Ball and Cylinder joints can be selected at locations where a Pin joint is found.

The entity intersection doesn't works, or I don't understand the meaning of this. Is there something else that it is need to take into acount when creating sketch (e.g.the order of creating sketch entities?). Could please someone explain the logic how creo look for connections between bodies?
