This week I tried something that I've been anxious to get to for a long time.
I built my 1st Spine Bend model.
At 1st I was elated, but then I compared the model against the original model which has already proved out with accuracy.
The bend is good with simple rotations but the angles off the "V" shape weave inside and out of the correct position. (The largest error is .075, we need to hold within .010)
See picture of the trouble angles.
As far as I can tell the angle itself looks fairly good, it's just appears that the "V" position weaves in and out.
There isn't much documentation of what the Options do, perhaps one of these Options might help.
I have watched Leo Greene's excellent You Tube tutorial, but it doesn't hit on what I'm needing to control.
Would anyone know how to stabilize the "V" position on a Spine Bend?
I'm trying to solve an interesting new case today.
Fill in a glass with a certain volume of water. I would like to change the quantity of water easily by parameter: any idea how to create a solid of the water constrained by the glass shape and the desired variable volume?
Hello,
I need to do ballooning of all parts in a drawing view. For this, I have generated BOM table from Table--->Quick Table--->BOM DESCRIPTION Down.
After that, I selected SWITCH SYMBOLS and I am able to see a parameter named as rpt.index under ITEM column of BOM table.
I would like to know how to modify this parameter for the different parts?

Hi all,
we have a centralized installation of Creo in a network drive and each user runs Creo from that location.
Because PTC Diagnostic Tools is installed only in the network drive, how could we check Creo diagnostic from remote machine?
It is possible to have only one installation of Creo and many of Diagnostic Tools?
Thanks in advance for your answers
Hi PTC,
Is there a way to export a pack? as is can i have an update where i can predefine a pack of export files for one click exporting

All,
In Creo 2 we taught our users that the fastest way to start using your workspace tied to Creo is to do the following
Open Creo
Select Common Folders tab (located above the model/drawing tree)
Select Workspace
Log into Windchill pop up
...and they are done
In Creo 3 M030
Open Creo
Select Common Folders tab (located above the model/drawing tree)
Select Workspace
...and Creo Parametric says (Not Responding)
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you,
Lance
Hallo,
anyone could tell how can I have cosmetic threads in a drawing display with the 45° line at its end? just like indicated in the red circle in the screenshot below:
they display by default without that ending oblique line, and I tried to change the stardards in threads_standards but without success.
thanks

We know that Creo Parametric uses system parameters "linear_tol_0_0, linear_tol_0_00, etc and "angular_tol_0_0" etc to set the CAD model tolerances for 2 and 3 place dimensions. For whatever reason, our current start parts and formats have user defined parameters "TOLERANCE_1_PLACE", TOLERANCE_2_PLACE", "TOLERANCE_3_PLACE", and "TOLERANCE_ANG" to drive the drawing tolerances in our format's title block.
We are now working on new start parts and formats and would like to use the system parameter tolerances, but we have a need to keep our old user defined parameters ("TOLERANCE_1_PLACE", etc) functioning. We tried to set up relations to drive our user defined parameters from the system parameters. We have tried various forms of the names for the system parameters, such as "linear_tol_0_0", "linear_tol_0_0()", and "linear_tol_0_0(""), but none seem to work.
Is there a simple way to achieve the relations that we're looking for?

Where is the location to change the CL output from ROTATE to MULTAX in Creo Manufacturing 2.0?
ROTATE / BAXIS, ATANGL, -90.000000
How to change default depth value IN Extrude...
There may be something simple I'm overlooking, but I cannot find how to place a call out (note format) for a counter-bored hole in a Creo 3.0 2D drawing. The counter-bored hole was created in the 3D model using the Hole command.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hello,
I have an assembly with two instances into family table. I have generated drawing from the main file and created repeat region of Two-D type to accommodate BOM in a single table for all instances.
Issue I am facing is that even though it is a repeat region, the same table is not being recognised as repeat region when I intended to do ballooning of view using Create Balloons - All.
Requesting help on this.
I am open to share my test parts on which I am facing issue for your better understanding if required.
Thanks and Regards

Has any seen this error? "A problem has been encountered with the browser. Please restart application to access the browser again." Only some users get this error some of the time. Anyone know what may be causing it?
Using Creo 2.0 M130 and PDMLink 10.2 M020
Hi,
I am very new to the bulk item concept in creo. I have never used it.
Request you to share some tutorial which I can use for to understand below:

On several of our workstations, whenever a dxf/dwg thumbnail drawing is created and viewed in Windchill 10.1, using Creoview Lite 2 or 3 (tried all revisions) the degree and diameter symbols on the screen (and in print) turn into the wrong font mapped symbol and become a tilde and a lowercase "n" -- this only happens with specific machines. Windows 7, 64bit. Others display the same symbols on the same drawings just fine. Different video cards in these PCs/laptops. Tried latest video drivers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. See graphic.
Hi Folks,
I set my option "windows_browser_type" to "mozilla_based_browser", but IE still loads. The option does not have the red circle slash in the config editor so it seems to have loaded. I do not see any other conflicting options. Firefox is installed, but I believe Creo uses its' own code anyway. Any ideas?
Creo 2.0 M100
Thanks,
